  • How to properly care for newly purchased garments
The Vault aims to provide you with as many clothes containing natural fibers as possible, which guarantees not only that the garment will last you a lot longer, but that it is also healthier for both you and the planet, and let’s face it, feels much nicer. However, having clothes from natural fibers usually means you have to pay a little extra attention when washing and treating your clothes. This guide has been created for you to make sure that your cashmere jumper stays soft forever, or that the wooly jumper actually stays the same size as when you first bought it. We always recommend following the washing symbols guide that you can usually find on your garment. However, since our products are preloved and vintage it sometimes happens that they are missing their symbols guide and tags with the material, which can make it hard to know how to properly clean them. In this case, we always recommend washing your clothes at no more than 30 degrees on a minimum amount of turns. Separate light from darker colors, while being mindful of different fabrics, and avoid bleach and fabric softeners which are both damaging to fabrics To ensure your garment’s longevity the best way to dry your clothes is to skip the dryer and air-dry your clothes instead. Gently shake them out and hang them on a drying rack or hanger.
